Public Works

The “I want to play with friends again” Update – Please vote on the poll

I just missed playing with people and was sick of being in lockdown, so I decided to do one time travel to get these public works. I didn’t do anything else (So I still need 2 more emotes before Dr. Shrunk’s dance and I didn’t shop at all) as that’d be a bit much–just what I had to do to play with friends.

So, Geyser celebration!

And then, it was lots of attempts to get a Picnic Set from Phoebe. To my surprise, after just 3 attempts and my first request…

Yay! …however, I was then in for a horrible surprise. Originally, your original bridge did not count. I guess this was fixed as I was not allowed to put the Picnic Blanket down as I already had “30” projects.

I don’t know what I’m going to remove… For now, I demolished my first sign earlier than expected, but I’m kind of at a loss here :/

For the record, these are my public works–both built and planned:
2 Stone Bridges
1 Fairytale Bridge
1 Street Lamp
1 Illuminated Heart
1 Park Clock
1 Fairytale Clock
1 Flower Clock
1 Metal Bench
1 Picnic Blanket
1 Flower Clock
2 Faceboards *
1 Sign *
1 Water Pump
1 Drinking Fountain
1 Water Well
1 Geyser
1 Hot Spring
1 Bell
1 Zen Bell
1 Instrument Shelter *
1 Zen Garden
1 Jungle Gym
1 Fountain
1 Lighthouse
1 Windmill
1 Stone Tablet
1 Statue Fountain
1 Cube Sculpture
1 Topiary *

* = What I’m leaning towards removing

As for why each of those are possibilities:
1. Sign – I have welcome mats so I guess it’s a little redundant even if I like it.
2. 1 of the 2 Faceboards – I’d have to move things over and stuff but… :/
3. Instrument Shelter – I don’t use it much anyway so… Even if I do like it and think it looks nice.
4. Topiary – I can’t even get it until April so scrapping it altogether would mean no demolishing besides a temporary sign… but I find it really cute ._.

I just feel…super broken I guess. Regardless, upon going back, I went and placed and paid off the Picnic Blanket…

And here’s a poll… (Click here for pictures)

As stupid as it is, I’m on the verge of crying over this. It’s like I wasted all this time. I feel so stupid.

Oh, and I had a Camper.

And farewell, Miranda.

Day 47.5

Due to not being able to sleep too long last night, I actually played some minigames before the new day started. I did stop playing before 6AM though as I was hoping to start closer to 9AM as a quicker chance of running into Miranda and getting the Statue Fountain.

In the meantime, I decided to determine what I need to have placed before I get a new villager (*=I have the request):
1. Windmill
2. Geyser
3. Zen Bell
4. Fairy-tale Bridge (will be the FIRST thing I place when Astrid moves) *
5. Bell (second thing) *
6. Picnic Blanket

Thus why I may do Kiki last (even putting Rocco before) unless Phoebe suddenly mentions moving… But for now, I just want the Statue Fountain out of the way… because of time though, maybe I will just focus on Phoebe or Rocco :/ Then Miranda and finally Kiki. …I want that area done though *sighs*

Everything else requires someone to move first…:
1. Fairytale Clock – Phoebe
2. Flower Arch – Phoebe (it might be able to be placed without her moving though)
3. Police Station – Ruby
4. Reset Center (if I decide to build it) – Kyle
5. Water Pump – Kyle
6. Drinking Fountain – Buck

I will have to demolish the sign for the Circle Topiary, but considering I need to wait until April for that, I will hopefully have the villagers I want to keep in by then along with everything else built.

The only things that will not effect placement when placed is the Statue Fountain (I highly doubt any house can be placed there–would be too close to the train station or face board) so I could technically place that whenever… maybe I should save that for last ._. blah, decisions are hard.

Regardless, close to be doing done… 2 Facilities (with 1 still a maybe) and 12 Projects to go (2 of which are requested and one which I can’t get until Weeding Day -_-) so if I am lucky, I can get the 9 requested by early next month… Just need to hope things work well together T~T

The Reset Center should be fine to place later (as any house would be too close to the cliff once the Water Pump is in) so I’ll probably continue to have that as the last thing I place (not counting the Topiary since, well, April)…

…I will not time travel. I will not time travel. I will not time travel. >< If anyone has suggestions on what order you think would be good, let me know? Thanks <3

Day 32

Video Log: N/A
Re-tail Sign: Nibble fish
Turnips: AM: 74 Bells | PM: 70 Bells

Due to the fact that I’d be out for most of today and I am not too fond of the ingame camera, today was “get as much done as humanly possible before you have to go out” day. Unfortunately, even if I do manage that, I still will have to get my emotion later today 🙁 Blah.

Anyway, I had mail waiting as usual lately. Jeremiah had sent me a Star Tee as a thanks for his gift and I received the stuff I ordered from the Spotpass house yesterday.

I ran into Pete during my fossil hunt and upon stopping at the Cafe, I ran into Dr. Shrunk. While I didn’t manage to screencap it (stupid allergies), the fact that him and his family say Thank you to Isabelle and the Mayor before meals is really really cute. If I see it again, so taking a picture.

I found it interesting Brewster asked me how much sugar I wanted today. I picked 3 (Seriously, never give me coffee–the amount of sugar I had to put in to make it drinkable for me did not end well).

That is pretty magical.

Day 22

Video Log: Twitch
Re-Tail Sign: Lantern Fly
Turnips: AM: N/A (Missed) | PM: 112 Bells

Today is another late start sadly. Regardless, it was another day of mail and rain. Besides the rest of the stuff I ordered from Timmy and Tommy, I also received a Modern Chair from Ruby and, as expected, the Statue of Liberty from Gulliver.

I decided I may try reverse psychology with Astrid due to a lot of my other villagers asking to move who I am better friends with… shall see if it works out. Although, while I like Kyle, he’s probably the one I want to leave the most right now as I should be able to get the cafe request any day now… :/

Unfortunately, I did get two frustrating surprises…

Two of my bushes died. I’m really not sure why or how but bleh. One was a Pink Hydrangea and the other was my only Sweet Olive :/ So pretty upset about it. I wish I at least knew WHY. I don’t know if it was just a crazy incident or if I should try planting them again or what? ._.

Day 7

Video Log: Twitch Part 1, Twitch Part 2, Twitch Part 3, Twitch Part 4
Re-Tail Sign: Wharf Roach
Turnips: AM: 107 Bells | PM: 63

Eeee 😀 Exciting news right from the start-up!

I also got my second floor today. It’ll actually be used for the stuff in the main floor, but it’s a bit too small right now…

Umm…excuse me, Mr. Kyle-sir, look, I’m sure you’re REALLY nice, but if you could just…umm… suggest the Cube Sculpture and head off or move your house somewhere else, I’d really really really appreciate it (you can always come back later somewhere different! It’s okay!). I’ll even give you tons of carrot juice!

Oh! It’s raining today. Wonder if that’ll last.

Yaaay. Set my sign’s pattern!

Nook once again had no neat exterior items so time to pay the 300K for my upstairs…

I plan to put most of the furniture in the main room upstairs, but it needs to be bigger first. I decided to add on extra rooms (minus basement) first though so I can at least buy the Castle set-up when it pops up ASAP. My new loan is 348K which is essentially all my money 🙁 blah. Will have to work on earning money today… but have to prepare for the bug hunt too T__T But yeah, house plan is: Left, Top, Right, expand second floor fully, basement, and then expand each room.
